This book is an hommage to two great Italians: Italo Calvino for his Citta Invisibile (Invisible cities), and to the cantautore (singer-songwriter) Gianmaria Testa for his song album Da questa parte del mare.
The title of one of the songs was chosen as motto and title for the book: Des Pas et des Délices (Of Footsteps and Delights).
Testa sings about walking once more in one‘s own footsteps, but not beeng able to find again the enchantment of past moments. The texts of his songs are mounted in the original photography frames found in a small family photoalbum from Cremona. A bald headed shop-window beauty and three-legged mechanical toy dog act as our guides along the winding paths of Calvino‘s stories.
