Pencils, india ink, paper – I packed those in the bag together with several books. After an operation, I was preparing for a recovery stay in a remote hotel. Of all this books, I read over and over only Ovid’s „Metamorphoses“. I will not go as far as saying that the series of drawings which, in a way, became a record of my recovery process, were directly influenced by Ovid’s stories. But the never-ending array of beings caught in a constant flow of transfomations certainly emboldened me in searching for yet the next shape a clutter of lines may adopt.
